“The #pneumatic, self-levelling #rear #suspension fitted to some models will eventually fail.”

Here is an old story but still relevant.

How to ruin a #brand

I bought a second-hand #Citroen 7 seater years ago. Within 6 months rear suspension started collapsing and it felt like driving a #horsecarriage! Citroen and a few garages ignored it – “could not find fault”. Air suspension (losing air frequently) with a weak #compressor working overtime to compensate (on all roads: short, medium and long range bumpy roads) was luxury to good to be true! More annoyingly, the #warranty I purchased from a “giant” #dealer did cover one part but not the other in this rear suspension design. And even more frustrating bit was that I had to wait indefinitely due to so many failures and complaints!

Better solution could have included short #steel #springs to cover for the #worstcasescenario: total collapse! Even better solution could have included either one more air compressor or a stronger one. But no, they wanted to manufacture a #cheap #car!

So, have I ever bought another Citroen? NO!

Have I ever recommended buying a Citroen? NO!

Have I ever recommended buying a cheap car? NO!

Do I agree with 4-stars from #WhatCar? NO!

How do you ruin a #brand?

* by working with people with #insufficient #experience and #expertise.

* by #manufacturing / #designing / using #cheap #parts

* by working with #vendors who do not #care about you or your #customers
